We Should Elect Senator Obama!

We Should Elect Senator Obama
The United States should elect senator Obama for the next President, in November 2008. Senator Obama is highly qualified for the job with all that he has done being a senator, and he has a great attitude on the way the country should run. For example, he wants to get out of Iraq as soon as we can. He will stat removing one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months. Obama makes it clear that we will not build any permanent bases in Iraq. He will keep some troops in Iraq to protect our embassy and diplomats; if al Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al Qaeda He sees that we are just loosing our men over there and not really getting anything done, and he has a plan to make that change.

His heath care plan for the country is to create a new national health plan to allow individuals with out access to affordable insurance coverage to buy coverage similar to that available to members of Congress. His health care plan will get many of the Americans that can’t afford to get health insurance, to get it at a more affordable price. Also, he sees how many Americans are struggling, his plan is to increase the number of working parents eligible for Earned Income Tax Credits, increase the benefit available to parents who support their children through child support payments and reduce the marriage penalty. He can relate to Americans struggling because he saw his own mother not taking care of her health because she was so worried about paying her health care bills that she died from cancer.
In additions to the tax cuts, Obama wants to use $75 billion in tax cuts and direct spending to stimulate the economy. He would provide immediate $250 tax cut to workers and their families, and an immediate temporary $250 bonus to seniors in their social security checks. By doing this it would hopefully help boost our economy. Furthermore, Obama wants to make mends with the Middle East. He wants to make peace, and alliances with them; unlike McCain who wants to make alliances with surrounding countries, and then force them to comply. Obama has a brighter out look on things.
Senator Obama also has such a positive attitude towards the world. When his own pastor, bashed black people, he came out and gave a speech that could not have said it better. He is one of the firsts to confront a wider and more complicated discussion about race in America, a discussion Obama contends he is uniquely qualified to initiate. "I am the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas," Obama said. "I have brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins, of every race and every hue, scattered across three continents, and for as long as I live, I will never forget that in no other country on Earth is my story even possible." Obama coming out and saying those words, take a lot of courage, not many people would do that in today’s world. He has obviously thought long and hard about his campaign and being a black man, he felt that he should address the issue of race. He said it perfectly, his mind set on how the country should be run is great and he is the perfect candidate for the Presidency.

When reading the blogg entry titled We Should Elect Senator Obama, this statement was made, “When his own pastor, bashed black people, he came out and gave a speech that could not have said it better.” I’m not sure where you got this information from, but it’s not in alignment with any news reports. Maybe you accidentally said, “bashed black people”, instead of saying, bashed white people. If you look at teachings of Jeremiah Right (obama’s former pastor) he blames white people for HIV. He says White people invented HIV to kill off black people. He makes statements like “God damn America”. This man is crazy. You have to ask, does Barack agree with his pastor? Barack denounces the statement made by Jeremiah and said he wasn’t present when the controversial statements were made. How can Barack be mentored for 20 years and not know the core political believes of his Pastor? This pastor married him and he baptized his kids.
You might think Obama has good ideas concerning political issues, but look at his character. I don’t understand why he hasn’t left the church? I don’t think he really disagrees with his racist pastor.
